Marketing Your Product

What do you think are the best ways to market your product? Do you have a set growth strategy? Have you ever tried something that turned out to be much worse or much better than you anticipated?

I would actually like to hear from differnet business owners on this one as I am new to the Internet business and am currently in the process of trying to promote my Table company which we have just launched onto the Internet last week.We will be sending out 1000 postacards to the Rochester, New York area.  I will update you on how that turns out as far as a "Marketing Strategy". The problem is, that only covers us locally.  Our business will allow anyone from mall owners, to restaurant owners, to large and small business owners, to customize tables for their eating areas in any size, shape, laminate style, and base style they choose.  We can ship all over the United States but how do you market this kind of business on that kind of a scale?Anyone out there had any success with this kind of Marketing that you wouldn't mind sharing? Thanks to all!!!

I've recently begun more aggresively marketing my consulting business. I'm finding that networking is a much more profitable return for my time and money than any other method I've used so far. I've done some online advertising and am looking at a few lines in one of the national magazines.

Really though, participating in online forums, meeting other business owners at groups, and that sort of thing seems to be working well for me. And spending 4 days at IWF was really a boost for my business. I made several very important contacts and may well see some work from it.

The internet has really opened up new avenues for marketing and getting the word out. It is new territory and you should not be afraid to poke around and see what opportunities may exist out there for unconventional marketing.
